P R I M A R Y ~ I N F O

Full Name: Inafuatilia katika Uchafu
Name: Inafuatilia
Full Name Meaning: Tracks in the Dirt
Name Meaning Tracks
Full Name Pronunciation: in-ah-foo-ah-till-ee-ah ~ kah-tea-kah ~ oo-chaf-oo
Name Pronunciation: in-ah-foo-ah-till-ee-ah
Reason Behind Name: Because of his dusty-pelted coloring, Tilia's Father decided to name his youngest son the name relating to his pelt and rank, similar to that of his eldest son Daji. Of course, he at first though of naming his son after a bird again, only to remember that his late mate's love for the name "Inafuatilia" came into his memory, as well as her reputation for being a Carrier. Therefore, in honor of her, the Chaser named the dark dusty-brown pup Infuatilia, adding "katika Uchafu" at the end of it to give the name more depth.
Nicknames: Tilia (goes by this name), Fua, Ina, Chafu, Chaf, Kat
Age: 4 Cycles, 6 Moons
Gender: Dog (Male)
Pack: Jua
Rank: Alpha
How He Earned Said Occupation: Due to his devotion to his Pack as well as personality and signs of Leadership, the old Alpha made Tilia her new Beta when the old retired early due to a snake bite that left him blind. Tilia, of course, accepted the role of Beta and proved to be quite the worthy dog to do it. He continued this way until the day the Alpha died from a sickness during the winter season, causing Tilia to instantly take up the role of Alpha of the Jua Pack.

S E C O N D A R Y ~ I N F O

Breed: Tilia is a normal African Wild Dog; however it can be noted that he shares a few recessive genes of a mostly single colored Wild Dog.
Skill: Hearing Skill
Birth Season: Spring
Birth Month: May
Birth Day: 30th
Height: 31"
Weight: 79 pounds
Accessories: [Made by Him] [1/1]
Piercings - These piercings came around at two separate times for the Alpha - the right one, a wooden stick, was carved by Tilia himself when he was just a Tenderfoot. He then used the sharp points to pierce it in a similar way his Father and brother had with their's. As for the round red piercing on the left ear, Tilia found it near the Ravine no sooner had he become a Beta. Noticing it had a point on the other side, the dog pierced into his ear.
[Given to Him] [1/2]
Vine Band - A single band of vine is twined around Tilia's right ankle accompanied with a small pebble tightly bound at the center of the band. His Father gave this to him when he became a fully-fledged Scrapper as a gift, and nowadays the Alpha is rarely seen without it on.

Scars:

Brief Description: Being trained in the ways of a Scrapper, it was most likely that Tilia would earn a few scars here and there as proof of his encounters in battle. The scars placements range from his left ear, left eye, haunches, back, and even legs. However, these scars are seen by the Alpha as minor and a good excuse to create stories for younger members of the Pack who are all but intrigued in them. In reality, Tilia believes that these scars he has has moulded him into the kind of dog he is today and, in some cases, memories of his encounter and skills in defence. It is also something to point out with his older brother Daji, since the two were Scrapers together after all.

Detailed Description:

Ear Scar - This ragged hole in the middle of Tilia's left ear was leftover from the beginning of his training as a Tenderfoot. When the young dog entered his first battle, he accidentally went for a dog older and more experienced in battle than he was. This resulted in Tilia getting his tail handed to him, especially when his ear got caught in his opponent's jaw. This caused the young do panic, but before he shook himself to the point of ripping his ear in half, the Alpha came to his aid. However, once released, Tilia would soon realise that he would forever have a ragged-looking hole in his left ear. Nowadays it is one of the Alpha's more predominant features on his appearance, and is a result of many attractions towards curious pups.

Eye Scar - A scar that came around the same time he earned his ragged-hole ear scar, the dog was just lucky enough to come out with his eyes still intact. During the time he was pinned down by the ear by the enemy, the young Tenderfoot at the time instantly felt a single claw slice near his eye, and upon instinct, Tilia shut his eyes to prevent the claw going into his eye. This worked to his advantage, for the claw glided over his eyelid, neither too deep for major damage, nor too light for the scar to fade away. Currently Tilia find the scar rather irritating at times, especially in cold weather or when he's putting strain on it. Still, it gains the attraction of few just as much as the hole in his ear does for pups, which gives Tilia the excuse to create stories about it.

Right Leg Scar - A single scar runs along the leg of Tilia's right leg due to an accident during the early beginnings of his Tenderfoot duties. One day when he was out on patrol with his brother Daji, the two dogs decided to hand around the Ravine and play fight a little; however, Tilia accidentally went off-guard as he soon lost his balance and tumbled into the dried up riverbed. By doing this, his leg got cut by a sharp point on a nearby boulder. The injury itself left the dog with a limp and caused him to stay in the Shaman's den for the next few days whilst it healed up. Unfortunately, the scar was there to stay, and is by far the only one Tilia is secretly ashamed off, for it reminds him of that embarrassing incident.

Left Should Scar - This scar was given to Tilia when he was around the last few moons of Beta of his Pack. A lion attacked the training grounds one day, and being there at the time, the dog instantly led the older members of the Pack in the assault against the terrible beast. By doing this act of bravery, the dog knew he was risking his and everyone else's lives; therefore, he decided to use the strategy of leading the creature away from the camp as reinforcements were coming thanks to the aid of a nearby Carrier. During this fight, the lion managed to swipe at Tilia when he was distracted, resulting in a deep single wound on his leg. Today Tilia views this scar as some form of victorious memory, since it proved that he was indeed, suitable to lead the Pack as well as chasing off the beast.

Back Scar - Tilia earned this scar when he was in battle against his own ex-Mentor as a Scrapper when the older dog tried to overthrow the Alpha by force. Of course, he had suspected his mentor was up to something awful, and when it became clear out of suspicion that he would follow after the Alpha who admitted to going on a solo walk to clear her mind, Tilia decided to tag along. And boy, was he glad he did. He may have risked his own life in protecting his Alpha against the dog he used to look up to, but in the end, he triumphed over the old Beta, resulting in his ex-mentor's exile. Of course, this didn't earn him the title Beta yet, but the scar does remind him of what he did for his Alpha and how they became rather close.

Haunch Scars - These scars came from his fight against his old mentor/Beta one fateful night which resulted in his friendship with his Alpha. Being younger that the more experienced dog, the Scrapper at the time knew he was risking his own life, but for a good cause. Because of this, Tilia fought until backup came, and by doing this, it earned him scars. The haunch scars were given to him when his opponent grabbed him to prevent Tilia from doing a rendezvous and prepare to send an attack. By doing that, Tilia was left with scars on both sides that stung for a while until fully healed up. Fortunately the scars don't cause any discomfort to the Alpha, and isn't really noticed by many much like his facial scars, which is for the better.

Natural Appearance:

Brief Description: Being a normal African Wild Dog, Tilia falls into the dark dusty-brown category with the occasional darker orange and white patches added here and there to his painted pelt. Of course, what really makes Tilia stand out from his Pack is because of his dark coloration; meanwhile, the dog's amber eyes show much of his emotion when he deems it appropriate as well as fascinating to those who find amber eyes to be nice to look at. In addition to his physical appearance, Tilia has long lean limbs as seen in all normal African wild dogs, yet he does have the broad-shoulders Scrappers are expected to have most of the time. Tilia's fur is also noticeably mid-length around his tail and has a slight ruff around his neck, whilst his voice still sounds slightly young.

Detailed Description:

Pelt - Tilia's pelt is a little unusual for someone who lives in a Pack associated with the Sun God. However, for Tilia, he can't help but carry the dark dusty-brown trait of his Father. Accompanying this is the the splatters of a lighter shade of dark dusty-brown, a lighter shade of light brown, yellow-brown, and orange patches with the occasional white. The most noticeable patch on the Alpha is the one he shares with his brother Jogoo and Mother; the head patch. Half of it is mostly covering his head, along with the occasional splashes of color here and there. His tail is also rather well known for it's unique look and can be recognised from a few miles away from anyone who knows of this Alpha. Lastly, Tilia's fur is mid-length in some areas such as his tail and neck, whilst the rest of his body is short-length.

Eyes - Tilia's amber eyes were inherited from his deceased Mother - so much that his Father sometimes saw her in his younger son's curious gaze. Usually younger dogs of Jua associate their Alpha with their Pack just from his amber eyes due to having an unusual dark dusty-brown splotched pelt. That, and it is normal they hold a rather cool and collected manner in them at all times. However, he does show more than those two emotions in his eyes when deemed appropriate, but it is always present to those close to him in his heart. When sad, the Alpha's eyes usually have a glint in them as well as dull down a little, whilst they widen and his pupils narrow when incredibly enraged over something, though it is rare to see him lose his cool like that.

Build - Being a Scrapper before accepting the role of Beta, Tilia has the noticeable broad-shoulders most dogs of his training have. However, that is the only form of bulk to be noticed on the Alpha, for the rest seems to be the body build of an average dog. Sure, Tilia has the lean, long limbs most average-sized dogs would have too, but aside from that, he isn't really much to look at for intimidation wise. Instead, he is again, average in build - not too scrawny, nor too bulky. Instead, the Alpha is of a lean type of build, which might be a rather attractive aspect to those who meet him, let alone a more approachable appearance for most dogs. Due to his average build, the Alpha is capable of combat and reasonable enough speed to dodge or run.

Voice - Although in his prime, Tilia still has that young edge to his voice whenever he speaks - most of the time it being cool, collected, and rather patient. What is also noticeable about his voice is his accent; the dog has a slight Romanian accent laced in his voice whenever he speaks, and it is one that makes some rather fascinated whenever he speaks. Just like his eyes do when it comes to emotion, Tilia does show it more towards those close to him, but can show some to strangers when he deems appropriate. For instance, when he's angry, you can clearly hear his accent as it strengthens a stricter, more harsher tone. When in a state of depression, the dog might make it stoic as ever in order to prevent anyone worrying about him.

Scent - Currently Tilia smells of acacia, sand, and a mixture of some form of herbs. Among this scent is also the formidable smell of the Jua Pack, with a trace of cinnamon.

Sexual Info:

Sexuality: Asexual - Not interested in sex
Mate: N/A
Pups: N/A
Crush: N/A
First Kiss: N/A
Other Kisses: N/A
Lover Type: He may be an asexual, but Tilia is a romantic at heart. He is the kind of dog who waits for a connection with a certain she-dog who hits the check list in his preferences for the ideal lover. It can be inferred that Tilia will begin to feel embarrassed and shy around her if his crush were to compliment him or even smile directly at him. Although he'll be confused at first, the dog will soon come to terms that what the warm feeling in his heart is is indeed love for the other; and once he realises what it is, the Alpha will eventually make a move on his lover and feel more relaxed around her, if not show his appreciation for her in gifts. He'll also grow very protective of her, and would blame himself if she got hurt.
Preferences: Tilia is attracted to she-dogs who show is both beautiful physically and emotionally. Appearance wise, he prefers lighter pelts with the most dazzling eyes; he doesn't bother much with things that may make is lover feel "ugly." As for personality, he is big on humorous, adventurous females who are both fair and kind in their nature, along with being known to be either timid or more outspoken. Even if he isn't interested in sex, the she-dog must be a family-orientated kind of dog so they could have a family of their own.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

:bulletgreen: Positive: {Loyal} {Fair/Just} {Intelligent} {Patient} {Brave/Protective} {Calm}
:bulletyellow: Neutral: {Hesitant} {Authoritative} {Detached} {Quiet}
:bulletred: Negative: {Mysterious} {Reckless} {Soft} {Stubborn} {Workaholic} {Unpredictable}

:bulletgreen: Loyal - Loyalty is the one thing that Tilia shows whenever he needs to carry out his own orders; even in the past he would gladly do what he was told. It is the Alpha's belief that loyalty can get dogs to trust you as much as it help's you be well-respected by many in a Pack. Tilia rarely goes against the code the Guardian set for each of the Packs, and would even go as far as to keep it that way so his Pack can trust him. If he broke one of those rules, he would instantly try his hardest to make up for it by doing whatever he possibly can as an apology. The dog also goes with his Packs thoughts and beliefs in dire situations before putting the other two rival Packs first, for it is something that all Alphas are supposed to do, and boy will he do it!

:bulletgreen: Fair/Just - Unlike most pack members of all three Packs, Tilia is a rather justified and equal leader. He hates the idea of slavery, yet he knows that he can't avoid it in the Jua Pack due to tradition and the code - but that doesn't prevent him from changing a few conditions. Indeed, he would treat slaves as equals and encourage this to the rest of his fellow packmates, since slaves are at the end of the day, dogs too. If anyone were to abuse another, Tilia would gladly punish them or even banish them considering how bad the case was. The other two Packs, including their Alphas, don't really understand what Tilia sees in slaves, but they do admire the dog's view on equality for everyone and his beliefs on justice.

:bulletgreen: Intelligent - Tilia is a very intelligent dog who usually goes about his day carefully thinking over his orders and ideas before announcing them to his Pack or Beta. Even at Gatherings, Tilia would be the last to speak of the Alphas due to his nature for thinking things over first without blurting them out without much of a reasoning behind them. On a side note, the Jua Alpha often contemplates on visionary ideas whenever alone and only shares his beliefs with those he can trust dearly such as Daji, his older brother. As for battle tactics and other strategies, he has been known to think outside of the box and plan unexpected movements. This trait earns Tilia a lot of respect from those around him, and has served him a reputation among the younger ones.

:bulletgreen: Patient - As expected, Tilia is one of the more patient kind of dogs - rather useful considering how much of a workaholic he is! Being patient gets the Alpha anywhere when it really counts on it; from thinking to listening to other ideas from other dogs, especially at Gatherings. Even when dealing with more naive and arrogant dogs Tilia never looses his cool; he just remains as poker-faced as ever, which at times can put some dogs off when they try to annoy him for laughs. This trait is incredibly useful when he has to train Tenderfoots too, for Tilia is incredibly patient to listen to younger dogs ideas and and watch their actions. If the Tenderfoot is easily distracted and hyper, or slow to process moves and keeps getting them wrong, Tilia doesn't mind one bit.

:bulletgreen: Brave/Protective - One of his more noticeable, yet sometimes hidden trait, Tilia's bravery was actually what secured his spot as Jua's Beta and soon Alpha. He has already clearly stated that he would die before giving up his Pack out of cowardice rather than honor and loyalty, and that alone is enough proof that Tilia would do anything to protect his fellow pack members. If something were to happen, you can expect Tilia to rush into the battlefield and tackle those who wish to cause harm on his Pack. His protectiveness is also well-balanced out with his bravery; it is neither too annoying nor too little and is hard to detect unless touched upon. Especially if false accusations are made towards his Pack, Tilia will stick up for them until the end.

:bulletgreen: Calm - No matter how many times a dog tries to annoy him to see a crack of negative emotion sneak it's way into Tilia's expression, they will never earn it. Tilia is known for his calm demeanor, and he will forever remain in a poker-faced look to the point that the dog gives up. Being patient helps, but in dire situations, Tilia relies on his calm trait to help him through even the toughest of situations. When at a Gathering, he will remain calm if someone tries to accuse him and his Pack for theft over prey or any of the sort. It is rare that he looses his temper out in open, only ever appearing if someone constantly tries to make him and Jua out as the villains. Training wise he can easily watch one's failures without getting annoyed or angry.

:bulletyellow: Hesitant - He may be an Alpha, one of the top dogs in a Pack, but Tilia is still hesitant on some decisions he makes to this day. He sometimes doubts himself and always thinks of the outcomes/consequences if that idea were to be carried out. This is mainly shown during strategy plans for battle against another pack or rough ideas to chase off dangerous animals such as lions away for good. This only happens occasionally; however, for on other occasions Tilia can cope with placing Tenderfoots under the care of dogs that would work well with them or patrols who would work together as a full team without any arguments. It is on areas where pressure is needed that makes Tilia more hesitant and doubtful of himself.

:bulletyellow: Authoritative - It is expected for an Alpha to hold authority over a Pack, and in Tilia's case, he does do the job right. But maybe a little too much. For instance, he can be rather bossy when it comes to scenarios that involve warfare due to his worry towards all the members in his Pack and whether his ideas would work. This bossy side to him can be overwhelming to the younger population of the Pack, and would consequently get on their nerves. However, most of the time Tilia manages to level out this trait to a neutral dose of it; he's just oblivious to the negative effects of it whenever he feels pressure around warfare and of course, inner stress. Although, authority does have a role to play, for whenever he does use it well, he does it in a way that few challenge him.

:bulletyellow: Detached - Tilia is capable of emotions, but he only shows them when he deems them to be appropriate. Other times, he just remains with a poker-faced expression on his face and calm posture with hints of what he is feeling showing in those amber eyes of his. He remains a rather interesting enigma to some who come across him for the first time, for his detached self to strangers can cause a whole lot of rumors and curiosity based around him. Only those closest to him can break away his detached attitude to most and make him seem like any other average dog should act. This connects a little to the more negative aspect of his mysterious aura, but this trait is just an occasional around others depending on who they are.

:bulletyellow: Quiet - Sort of unusual for an Alpha, Tilia is not exactly vocal most of the time. Sure, he can give out good, well thought out orders and speeches, even replies; however, other than that, he is a lot more quiet. Occasionally he doesn't speak only unless he is spoken to, and even then he tries saying few choice words here and there in most average conversations. It is unknown why the Alpha does it, and may even confuse some dogs who believe Alphas are all vocal due to how they need to give out orders. However, Tilia's quiet attitude is rather something to be seen around strangers more than dogs he already knows and has some connection to. It could be considered shyness, but in reality, Tilia feels the need to only speak when needed.

:bulletred: Mysterious - Tilia is most well known for his mysterious actions and personality towards all those from different Packs and are strangers to him. There is some form of atmosphere around him that put's dogs on edge whenever he is present around them personally, and although he is capable of showing emotions, some can't help but feel there's more to the Alpha than he is giving out in the open. That, and Tilia is rather closed off from those he has yet to have a reason to trust. Sometimes it can be inferred that his quiet attitude has something to do with this, but in all actuality, it does not. Instead, Tilia's mysterious ways are all relating to his own thoughts; he would only open up to those whom he deems are worthy of it.

:bulletred: Reckless - Although he is very brave and protective of his Pack, the dog is rather reckless when it comes to battle. Due to his need to protect his fellow packmates and fear of losing any of them on his own orders, Tilia will most likely lead the charge once making up his own mind. He acts out of pure instinct whenever he hears a scream for help or the sounds of someone getting ruthlessly injured, and not even caring for his own life, will try and save them from an imminent end. Many members of Jua fear for their Alpha whenever he attends anything relating to combat because of this trait. This recklessness Tilia shows off may one day end up getting him killed, or wounded to the point of early retirement, no matter how heroic it was.

:bulletred: Soft - He may be a kind and thought-provoking role-model, but sometimes Tilia can be a little too soft on his fellow packmates. For instance, Tilia can be rather too kind on any of his punishments for those who are of a younger age when in reality - and depending on what they did - they should be a lot more harsher to ensure the Tenderfoot or young adults never repeat the same thing again. Some members of the other two Packs find Tilia's methods to be rather soft, and a sign of weakness at times. However, some go as far as to point out that Tilia is incapable of being a leader at all. Although, it is rather unnerving of the Alpha of Jua to be this soft to have that belief on some other dogs, his softness may also be used to manipulate him.

:bulletred: Stubborn - Tilia takes stubbornness to whole new level whenever someone wants to do something different from what his own logic is telling him. The Alpha would most likely try to state his own arguments and thoughts on the subject matter and may find ways to use it against the other. This trait could make Tilia appear arrogant at times, but in reality he just doesn't want to mess up what he believes is the solution to his problems. This alone can prove to be rather unhandy when it comes to discussing plans with the other two Pack Alpha's in dire situations such as famine. Usually he would become too stubborn and try his hardest to prove that his idea would work more. Even when he is injured in other scenarios and told to rest, Tilia will carry on with his duties as if it never happened.

:bulletred: Workaholic - An Alpha is always known to be quite busy with their duties, but this Alpha pushes it! Tilia is constantly caught up on work ranging from orders and patrols, to ceremonies and announcements. The dog feels the need to keep on working away in order to help his Pack thrive; after all, he's been doing this sort of stuff ever since he graduated to Scrapper many moons ago. Because of this busy life he leads, Tilia finds himself having less time to spend with other dogs which may hinder his relationships and chances of finding a mate in the future. He also becomes stressed easily whenever he pushes to his own limits at difficult times, and when a dog advises him to relax for a while, Tilia finds it difficult to do so.

:bulletred: Unpredictable - Thanks to his stubborn and mysterious behaviors, Tilia is well known for being incredibly unpredictable at times. First he may seem to be agreeing to a solution, the next he would be against it and putting in his own thoughts again after a long time of thinking. It is well known that sometimes Tilia may end up finding different ways to overcome different subject matters, or change topics instantly without any notice when he feels it's getting too touchy for him. This trait is one of those that come out unexpectedly to most, and may anger others especially. The bizarre thing about this trait; however, is that Tilia is incredibly oblivious to this. He doesn't realise that what he's doing is infuriating and confusing to many unless someone points it out, and even then he'd still do it.

Role-Play Examples:

Taken from a RP using my THK character Damu:

Smiling when he saw his little sister awake, Damu nudged her in a augur manner. "Mom's telling a story of her encounter with the snake!" he explained briefly before hearing Nyoka's words. After she finished, the red cub's green orbs lit up. So she had kept skins of the snakes from her encounters? And they were in his Father's den! This made Damu think for a moment. "Can we see them later? Me, you and Kutu? If she's interested that is..." he asked, trailing off as he cast his gaze on the darker red pelt of Kutu.

The red tom than began to imagine himself encountering his first ever snake. Would he kill it? Or would Nyoka come and kill it, just like her Mother had on her first encounter with the sneaky serpent? No, he would kill it and take one of it's fangs as a little trophy to prove to his Mom what he did. Not only that, but it would show he was brave for a cub his age! And maybe... just maybe Vumbi would notice him as something more than a useless cub...
